Since 1992, the university organizes curriculums in English for foreign students. Teaching is organized by subject in order to cover all the theoretical and practical parts of medical science.

The Czech Republic (in czech: Česko), officially named the Czech Republic (in czech: Česká republika) is a country of Central Europe borders to the north with Poland, to the northwest and west with Germany, to the south with Austria and to the east with Slovakia. It covers an area of 78,866 square kilometers and according to estimates of 2009, it has a population of 10,211,904 people. The historic Prague (in czech: Praha), which is a major tourist attraction, is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Other major cities are Brno, Ostrava and Pilsen. The country consists of two historical regions, Bohemia and Moravia, part of Silesia and small parts that previously belonged to Southern Austria.


Hradec Králové (in czech: Hradec Králové, in german: Königgrätz) is a city of the Czech Republic, in the Hradec Králové region of Bohemia. The economy of the city is based on food processing, photochemical and electronic technology. There are also traditional industries of musical instruments – the finest pianos are produced here. Hradec Králové has its own University, but Charles University also has Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy here.

The original name of Hradec Kralove, one of the oldest cities in the Czech Republic, was only Hradec (the castle), and Králové (the queen) was attached to the original name when it became one of the cities-dowry of the Queen, wife of Wenceslaus II, Elizabeth of Poland, who lived here for thirty years. In 1639, the city was occupied for eight months by the Swedes. The final battle of the Austro-Prussian War took place near Hradec Kralove on July 3, 1866.
