With e-learning (e-teaching), we mean the distance learning that exclusively involves electronic means. The trainee has 24-hour access to the learning materials through the internet and communicates online with the teacher also through the internet.

E-learning has many advantages and there is an ever-increasing demand for it. However, some concerns arise about online teaching; is it right to abolish the traditional way of teaching? Should the learner and the teacher communicate only online?

The evolution of e-learning, the so-called Blended Learning, is a solution to these concerns.

Blended Learning

This integrates traditional teaching in the classroom with online learning. Trainees attend distance courses, with daily feedback by the teacher, and common classroom courses, thus, maintaining personal contact with the teacher. The teacher has the role of a consultant to guide and personalize the curriculum according to the needs of each trainee.

Teaching Material

Both in e-learning and blended-learning, the teaching material is provided in digital form. In this way, trainees learn utilizing all senses and greatly minimize the time needed to be devoted for studying.
