IMAT FOUNDATION COURSE - CONSULTING AND PREPARATION FOR IMAT - ENTRANCE EXAMS FOR MEDICAL SCHOOLS IN ITALY - STUDY IN ITALIAN UNIVERSITIES MEDICINE AND DENTISTRY
September 10. 2024 Preparation (Foundation course) for the IMAT exam for admission to English taught programs of the medical schools in Italy Preparing for the IMAT exam for admission to medical schools in Italy . The IMAT or International Medical Admissions Test is the exam required for admission to English-speaking medical and dental schools in Italy. The examinations are held in various examination centres around the world and are administered by the University of Cambridge in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Education. In Greece, the examination is held in Athens, usually at a central location/hotel. The exam includes 60 multiple choice questions, of which:
  • 23 general knowledge biology questions
  • 5 logic questions
  • 15 chemistry questions
  • 13 questions in Mathematics and Physics & 13 questions in Mathematics and Physics
  • 4 Comprehension and General Knowledge questions.
  The duration of the IMAT test is 100 minutes (1 hour and 40 minutes). For each correct answer, the candidate receives 1.5 marks, and for each incorrect answer - 0.40 of a mark. The candidate is asked to write as well as possible and to achieve the highest overall mark. This will determine his admission, since Italian universities have limited places for European students in English-speaking departments.
