April 16. 2018 STUDIES IN GERMANY Germany is the fourth most popular country for studying abroad. The quality and abundance of study fields result in low tuition fees and living expenses, the combination of research and teaching, excellent student guidance and countless. These make Germany an extremely attractive country for foreign candidates. Moreover, Germany is a major trading partner in Greece, so a degree in Germany can be considered as an important starting point for an international career. The Greek Baccalaureate is recognized by the German universities, so all graduates of Greek Lyceums can start their studies directly there. Vocational high school graduates can be enrolled only in universities of applied sciences in a field of study related to the branch they have studied in the vocational high school. All Greek undergraduate curricula are also recognized, so, all graduates can apply for a postgraduate course. Most of the courses are conducted in German Therefore, a good level of knowledge is required (B2 - C1), while there are several courses -mainly postgraduate ones- which are conducted in English (required level B2 - C1, respectively)

Private universities charge tuition fees which vary and, in some cases they are very high. *NOTE: Fachhochschulen offer technical studies. Although the graduation from such schools does not offer someone the possibility to continue his/her studies at a PHD level, it provides good prospects to find a job in Economics or in the Industry Sector.
